Cyclones counting on leadership of newcomer Coleman-Lands

Coleman-Lands is yet to play a game for Iowa State, and he already is looked at as a kind of sage by coach Steve Prohm and the rest of the Cyclones. The graduate transfer has 110 career games under his belt from time spent at Illinois and DePaul. He's a scorer with a knack for shooting the 3-pointer, and he's a strong defender on the perimeter. FILE - In this Jan. 11, 2020, file photo, Iowa State coach Steve Prohm watches from the sideline during the first half of the team's NCAA college basketball game against Oklahoma in Ames, Iowa. This year's team might not have volume scorers, but any one of about a half-dozen players could get the hot hand any game. It reminds Prohm of of his assistant coaching days at Murray State, where the 2009-10 team had five players average between 10.0 and 10.6 points per game. (AP Photo/Charlie Neibergall, File)
